The villa to rent called " Dammuso China" is placed in Pantelleria - the untamed beauty of the Sicilian islands.
Only here can you find the "dammusi", low buildings made of dark volcanic stone that once defied the African heat, wind and weather. The charming exclusive villa is far only 200 m from the sea, on the northeastern side of the island (2.5 km outside of Pantelleria).
The villa is set in an estate wich has other exclusive houses inside - modelled on the old dammusi .
Each Villa have its own little courtyard and swimming pool, which is lit up by night. A covered terrace offers shade and a large garden invites guests to spend relaxed hours in its beautiful sunny atmosphere with a view of the ocean.
The villas are all equipped to modern standards, including satellite television and air conditioning. Yet they also pick up on local building traditions, with their vaulted ceilings in the living room, also visible from outside as slight domes, and floors made of typical local tiles. Every house has two bedrooms and bathrooms (one with a shower, one with a bathtub), a living room with a sofa bed and a fully equipped kitchen.

your questions, provide newspapers and magazines and shopping on demand.

Getting about

Volcanic temper, Mediterranean character and an Arabic outline: this is Pantelleria, known as the "Black Pearl" of the Mediterranean sea owing to its peculiar dark and intense colouring deriving from the matching of lava rocks with the cobalt blue waters. - heritage of the Arab rule (800-1000 A.D.) - sounding most of all in the names of its villages such as Khattibuale, Khamma and Muègen and which is findable and visible in the architecture of its "dammusi", the typical houses of Pantelleria, made out of lava stone and characterized by dyed cupola-shaped roofs.

And not in these things only but that particular touch is also verifiable in the never ending train of dried low walls revealing the island's agricultural soul especially based on the caper groves and on the vineyards of "zibibbo" grapes…producing also the renowned "passito di Pantelleria". The island - which is totally lacking of sandy beaches - is the ideal destination for anybody searching for a place out of the traditional schemes, a spot where nature is the real and absolute
protagonist.
